A luxury double tent on the hotel beach with a truly unobstructed lake view, the price of the luxury tent includes hotel breakfast. Shower/WC in the hotel sauna. Barbecue facilities on the beach and beach terrace for dining.

Possibility to book a private sauna for 10€/person. Bath towels are included in the price of the stay.

Luxury camping is a rapidly growing trend worldwide and more and more travellers would like the opportunity to spend their nights under a starlit sky. As the name suggests, luxury camping is a particularly comfortable way to spend a night outdoors. The tents are more like a hotel room than the traditional tent that springs to mind.

Recreation, outdoor activities and sports are on offer for everyone, regardless of fitness level or means of transport. After a day of hiking, it's great to relax on your own beach or on the terrace of your hotel or tent.

Sports and outdoor experiences for everyone
Hotel Viikinhovi is a great base for enjoying Keuruu's unique hiking nature and cultural sites. Walking and cycling trails start from the courtyard, and illuminated ski trails from the surrounding area take you to the peace and quiet of authentic Finnish nature. The camping experience is guaranteed for everyone, as the nature trails, the nearby pavilion and the beach are also accessible during the thaw, for example with a big wheel pushchair, electric wheelchair or wheelchair scooter. For more sporting challenges, there is a top-level competition centre nearby and ski trails in perfect condition for more demanding training. Indeed, the former garrison area in the vicinity has provided a wide range of fitness facilities for soldiers and athletes for decades.

The architecturally stunning hotel building of Viikinhov has previously served as a garrison club. Although the city centre is only a few minutes away by car, the beach area is privately used by the hotel and the peace and quiet of nature is guaranteed. In fact, many of our visitors have commented that the Viikinhov feels like being in your own summer cottage, but with the comforts of a hotel room!

The hotel and its guests are looked after by a couple of entrepreneurs, so the service is always flexible and warm. We serve our guests a hotel-standard breakfast, and you can enjoy your own picnic on the wood-fired barbecue or in the nearby lava.

Strollers and accessibility

The nearby nature trails and camping sites are also accessible for people with electric wheelchairs, scooters or pushchairs. For families with children or people with reduced mobility, nature trails are available up to several kilometres away. The hotel's beach area is also accessible.

Accommodation information
Check-in at 16.00 and check-out at 12.00. Hotel breakfast is available for guests, but there are no restaurant services.

Additional services
For an additional fee, you can book a sauna and a boat or bicycle. Please ask for other leisure equipment. Cars can be charged from the mains electricity supply for a fee, either with your own or the hotel's adapter. Caravan parking is also available.

For private functions, you can book a comfortable and festive 300-seat ballroom. The hotel also has a licence to serve drinks in the outdoor areas for parties.
